We are a group of Chargers fans who love to tailgate, love to party, love the Chargers, and love making new friends.
It started with Aaron and his dad, Tom, back in 2004. Aaron asked his dad, a life long Chargers fan, if they could get season tickets and Tom instantly said yes, as it had always been a dream of his.
The tailgating started in 2004 and never stopped. As the years progressed the family and friends grew, as did the tailgates.
When the Chargers moved to L.A., a new phenomenon had started. Almost every tailgating friend group created or had a club to identify who they were. This was partly needed due to how fractured our fan base was after the Chargers left San Diego. Seeing this, Aaron and Daryln, who organize and coordinate the tailgates and parties, decided to make Bolted Up Tailgaters.
Over the seasons we created strong bonds with the other clubs and we consider the other clubs such as Rivers Lake Yacht Club, Bolt Pride, Die Hard Bolt Club, WeChargeLA, and countless others, not only our friends, but Bolt Fam!
Anyone who loves to party and loves the Chargers can consider themselves a Bolted Up Tailgater.
We're not just a club, we're a lifestyle.
We have a tradition here with the Bolted Up Tailgaters. We call it our, "Goodmorning Shot".
It originated in the final year at Qualcomm stadium.
This shot gets you ready for the day and ready for the game. It provides both a liquor boost and an energy boost for the day's festivities.
The shot is designed to be a "bomber" shot where you drop a shot glass into another glass of liquid, much like a Jaegerbomb. We however have found bomber cups.
It has become the ultimate tradition for our friends and family as soon as the tailgate or house party is set up. The MOJO is not right if we don't take it.
The shot consists of:
All pre-chilled
1 full shot glass of Apple Whiskey
1 glass of Redbull
Cheers, throw back, repeat.
BOLT UP!
